Biography

Amy Solo writes and teaches creative writing, performance poetry and yoga from coast to coast. Currently splitting time between Lavallette, NJ and Olympia, WA, Amy continues to study and teach healing movement, reiki, making and writing.

She served as Poet Laureate of the City of Olympia from 2017-2019, educating and promoting literary arts through public displays and poetry of place. Her debut poetry collection Mothers, Lovers and Roadside Burials released in February 2021 (Alien Buddha Press). Her second collection, Wild Sonnets from the Underground Forest (Alien Buddha Press) released December 2023.
